Expected actions

• Open with partnership: you want a plan that is practical for busy family life. [1]
• Ask about pool fence design, gate behaviour, baths, buckets, boats, beaches and who watches. [1]
• Recommend four-sided isolation fencing with self-closing self-latching gate; explain house-wall three-sided risk. [6]
• Teach continuous close supervision for toddlers in any water; drowning is often silent. [1] [9]
• Explain lessons help later but never replace barriers or watching. [8]
• Advise correctly fitted life jackets on boats; arm bands are not PFDs. [11]
• Teach-back: ask parents to restate this weekend’s pool and boat plan. [2]
• Offer CPR training and written points. [1]
