Prompt
Parent of a 2-year-old recently arrived refugee with fever and diarrhoea; incomplete immunisation card; low weight-for-height; asks which tests are essential today.
Candidate tasks
- Stabilise and treat dehydration risk before elective investigations. [1]
- Outline catch-up immunisation principles without inventing false contraindications. [1]
- Assess nutrition risk and safety-net follow-up. [1]
- Explain sustainable, high-impact priorities to the family. [1]
Examiner notes
Pass if the candidate prioritises ABC and rehydration, plans valid-dose catch-up, screens malnutrition and avoids low-value panels that delay prevention. Fail if they defer all vaccines indefinitely or order non-indicated advanced imaging first. [1]
