For acute injury, do not let mechanism tunnel vision hide alternative or concurrent diagnoses: non-accidental trauma, medical syncope before a fall from a bike, intoxication in an adolescent pedestrian, or intentional injury framed as accidental. Clinical & Bedside Assessment

Passenger restraints (best-practice ladder) [1] [2]
