a) Diagnosis? (1 mark) Uterine fibroids (leiomyomas). b) Risk factor that drives growth? (1 mark) Oestrogen (grow in reproductive years, shrink after menopause). c) Management options? (4 marks) Asymptomatic: observe. Medical: tranexamic acid, LNG-IUS, GnRH analogues. Surgical: myomectomy (fertility), hysterectomy (completed family), UAE. d) Pregnancy complication? (2 marks) Red degeneration: acute pain, tender uterus, self-limiting. Conservative management. e) Malignant risk? (2 marks) Under 0.5% (leiomyosarcoma). Rapid growth postmenopause = suspicious.
