Advertising Policy
MedVellum may use advertising to support open-access education while keeping editorial judgement independent.
Editorial Independence
Advertising does not control medical recommendations, clinical pathways, references, review status, or safety warnings. Educational content and advertising decisions are treated separately.
Ad Placement
Ads should not be placed in a way that obscures emergency warnings, mimics clinical recommendations, or makes advertisements look like MedVellum-authored medical advice.
Health And Sensitive Categories
Advertising should not target users based on sensitive health conditions, imply diagnosis or treatment, exploit medical vulnerability, or appear to be a clinical recommendation. Health-related ads and advertiser claims remain the responsibility of the advertiser and applicable ad network policies.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Advertising must not obscure the fact that MedVellum includes AI-generated educational content, and ads must not be formatted in a way that makes them look like independent medical review, emergency guidance, or clinician-authored recommendations.
Sponsored Content
If MedVellum publishes sponsored material in the future, it should be clearly labelled and should not be presented as independent editorial review.
User Choice
Users can manage cookie and ad personalization preferences through their browser and relevant third-party settings.
